Garrett Williamson M.S.S., H.F.I.
Born in Mobile, Garrett is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Ivey Williamson and a graduate of UMS Preparatory School.
Garrett attended the University of Georgia where he was a pole-vaulter on the varsity track team for 3 years. While at UGA Garrett worked as the gymnastic coach for the varsity cheerleading squad and coached in both Athens and Commerce Georgia. He graduated with a bachelor in Exercise Science and continued on to complete his Masters Degree in Fitness Management at The United States Sports Academy.
During his studies at the Academy, Garrett interned at both The Cooper Aerobic Research Facility in Dallas and St. Johns Medical facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While in Tulsa, Garrett coached gymnastics with Mike Thomas at Citadel Gymnastics. After training for 8 years in different facilities in Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Alabama, Garrett opened Personal Edge Fitness Inc. in 2000 with 42 clients.
Garrett is married to Stephanie Jane Eads from Jasper Alabama. They are both very active with the Mobile Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and their canine Foster and adoption programs. They both love to travel and are avid scuba divers. Besides sprint triathlons, Garrett also enjoys underwater photography and Political Science.

Cathy Fuller Ph.D., C.S.C.S.
Originally from Trenton Ontario Dr. Fuller is a certified Kinesiotherapist with a post rehab specialty. Cathy taught 5 years at the University of Southern Mississippi in the school of Human Performance and Recreation before joining the staff of Personal Edge Fitness in 2000. She is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist and holds a Pilates certification from the Physical Mind Institute. In conjunction with her position with Personal Edge Fitness, Dr. Fuller remains an adjunct professor at the University of Mobile. As with the entire staff at Personal Edge Fitness Cathy believes in fit bodies at any age which is exemplified by her initial triathlon at the age of 47.
When not diligently working with her extensive clientele Cathy can be found spending copious amounts of time with her Son Robby and Husband Peter, Head Men’s Soccer coach at the University of Mobile. For the past twelve years Cathy has served as ‘Soccer Mom’ for the University of Mobile Men’s soccer team preparing preseason team meals. She also enjoys reading and yard work.

J.D. Dreyfus AFAA CPT
Born in Costa Rica in 1962, JD came to the United States in 1978. He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard where he served as an electrical engineer for 5 years. His interest in fitness began at an early age and he has been involved in weight training for 27 years. JD received his AFAA personal training certification in 2001 and after excelling in personal training at a variety of local fitness facilities, JD joined Personal Edge Fitness in 2002. JD is a real technician when it comes to form and strength training is his forte. Bilingual clients are always welcome since JD is fluent in both Spanish and English. His clientele includes all age’s even young athletes.
JD is married to Crystal (Sessions) and they have four children Alex, Bryson, Sol, and Lauren. Both he and Crystal are licensed real estate agents with Roberts Brothers Realty. They are very active with their church and enjoy spending time with their children.

Joe Whitehead M.S., H.F.I.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio Joe has lived in variety of cities across the country including Washington, D.C, Denver, Colorado and San Francisco.
While earning a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California Joe was a member of the wrestling team. Though Joe began a career in banking it was a part time job, working in a fitness center, where he realized his future. He decided to return to college and pursue a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of South Alabama. Joe joined Personal Edge Fitness in 2003.
Running has become the main form of relaxation and enjoyment in his life. Joe is the captain of Team PE, a group of clients and staff that attend local running events for fun and a little friendly competition with other local teams. Joe met his wife Cyndi while working together at Personal Edge Fitness. In their spare time Joe and Cyndi spend their time with their four children, Anna Grace, Rylie, bailey, and Sophie, and two dogs, Sydney and Aubie.

Christine G Conrad PT, C.S.C.S.
Christine graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. She received her Physical Therapy degree from the Medical College of Georgia. She then relocated to Charleston, SC working at Trident Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation for 7 years both as a staff therapist and later as a supervisor. She has worked with several of the Charleston Sports Teams including the Charleston Battery Soccer Team. She also developed an annual running clinic affiliated with the nationally known Cooper River Bridge Run. The running clinic was created to forge a partnership with the Bridge Run with the primary objective of training people to complete the 10k run. She taught and instructed participants on topics that ranged from running mechanics to training programs. Chris moved to Mobile and joined Personal Edge Fitness in 2003.
She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is also a certified Mat Pilates instructor through Fitour. She is currently working towards a STOTT PILATES Intensive Mat and Reformer Certification. She uses her Pilates knowledge and physical therapy training to make safe and effective training programs for all types of clients.
Christine enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Jeff Conrad, and two children, Stephen and Sydney. She is a runner and has been competing most of her life in high school, collegiate and local running events. She is currently volunteering with the Medical Alliance of Mobile County on the Fourth Annual LADR (Lower Alabama Doctors) Bike Ride to raise awareness on the importance of physical activity for a healthy lifestyle as well as money for Camp Rap a Hope and the Medical Endowment Fund. She also enjoys cooking and knitting.

Rob Longhurst B.S., C.S.C.S.
Rob is a former collegiate and professional soccer player who was born and raised in Uckfield England and played two years with the Brentford FC (football club) before coming to the United States in 2003. Rob received a four year scholarship for soccer to the University of Mobile where he received a B.S. degree in Athletic training and worked under the head athletic trainer with twelve intercollegiate sports. While still in the United Kingdom, he received a Diploma in Sports Science and began his Personal Training career. Rob received his C.S.C.S. certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and joined Personal Edge Fitness in 2007. He has experience in working with a variety of clientele especially athletes and people needing rehabilitative fitness.
In June of 2007 Rob married Chrissy (Gracey) of Pensacola.

Cyndi Lansdown M.Ed., H.F.I.
Born and raised in Mobile, Cyndi has had the unique opportunity to live in Saudi Arabia. She then went on to attend college at Auburn University. After spending 7 years in Dallas, Texas she returned home in 2003.
Since completing her Master’s Degree from Auburn University in 1997, Cyndi has had the opportunity to work and train at Country Clubs and Corporate Wellness facilities in Texas and the South East including the Cooper Institute in Dallas. Along with her Master’s Degree Cyndi holds three different personal trainer certifications including ones from the Cooper Institute and The American College of Sports Medicine.
Cyndi, the mom of 3 girls, Sophie, Rylie and Bailey, knows how hard it is to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle while balancing motherhood and career. While studying at Auburn Cyndi competed in triathlons and continues to run races with her husband, Joe, throughout the Mobile area. As well as her sports interests she also makes time for her first love, music. Cyndi is a professionally trained vocalist who sings with the Dauphin Way Baptist Church Choir, directs the Children’s Choir, and performs with various ensembles and as a soloist in the Mobile area.

Gary Zakutney B.S., ATC
Born in Shreveport, La and raised in Mobile. Gary is a graduate of McGill Toolen Catholic High School. Gary attended Troy University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree with a sports medicine emphasis. He has been working as an athletic trainer at Foley, Gulf Shores, and McGill Toolen high school prior to joining Personal Edge fitness in 2008. Gary previously worked at Personal Edge Fitness in 2001 and 2002. Gary has a strong background in rehabilitating acute and chronic injuries as well as group fitness. In his spare time Gary enjoys competing in triathlons and many other sports. He is married to Jennifer and they have two sons, Jacob and Charlie.
